Lion’s Mane Outdoor Cultivation

Lion’s Mane Outdoor Cultivation

In this workshop you will do hands on assembly of natural log inoculation of Lion’s Mane mushroom in our woodlands. We will discuss the process of inoculation and the benefits of natural log grown mushrooms, as well as the selection of inoculum, log procurement, site selection, tools, and other tips.

We will tour our long standing Lion’s Mane yard which should be producing its fall flush.

Lion’s Mane is a delicious culinary mushroom and has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. The biochemistry and bioactivity of compounds contained in Lion’s Mane have been the subject of recent medical interest regarding repair of damaged nerve function.

Lion's Mane (Hericium) is the ultimate brain booster. Studies show its ability to increase focus, sharpen reflexes, strengthen memory, and improve overall cognitive functions. Lion’s Mane has most recently been in the news for its potential to regenerate damaged nerve cells, and stimulate the nerve growth factor (NGF) in the central and peripheral nervous system. Lion's Mane contains beta-glucans for increased immunity and overall wellness.

Join us for this 3-hour, outdoor workshop at 10:00am on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Dress for the weather, rain or shine. The cost is $40 per person. Please click the button below to reserve and pay for your spot. Space is limited to 20 people.
