There are many ways to experience Hawk Meadow Farm. Come explore our woodland mushroom farm, learn more about how mushrooms are grown, spend time outdoors with your group, or stay awhile at one of our private campsites. However you choose to visit, we hope you leave with a deeper connection to the land and the work happening here.
Tour Our Mushroom Yard
Make a reservation to see mushrooms growing outdoors on hardwood logs in a beautiful woodland setting. Learn about the ecological, social, cultural, and medicinal roles of mushrooms, and see what it takes for a shiitake mushroom to make its way from the forest to your dinner plate.
Tours are available June through September by reservation only, last approximately one hour, and involve some walking. The cost is $25 per person. Call or text 607-280-4216 to book a tour.
School in the Woods
Have a group of school age children who want to get into nature or are looking for outdoor educational programs? We offer special packages for educational groups to come and enjoy an array of learning opportunities on the farm!

One-on-One Consultation
Interested in starting a commercial-scale outdoor log-grown mushroom operation? Steve offers consultations for those looking for guidance as they plan and develop their own growing operation.

Camp at the Farm
Hawk Meadow Farm is a working woodland mushroom farm where we create the conditions for plants, animals and people to thrive. Camping here is an opportunity to experience both the function and beauty of our land. Many of our campers have been delighted to discover the variety of song birds and other wildlife that they have seen just hanging out at the campsite. Other attractions include dipping your toes into our pristine creek or dabbling in the world of log-grown woodland mushroom production.
Our sites are spacious and private. Each site can be accessed by car and are a short walk to the bathouse which has a solar shower, potable water and compost style toilet.
We also have a farm store where you can find our products and we often have fresh shiitakes and farm freh eggs available for purchase. This is a place for you to reconnect with nature and recharge your spirits! We look forward to having you stay with us.
