midsummer mushroom pop-up dinner - Saturday August 9th
Come enjoy a mushroom inspired menu cooked up by Chloe Greenhalgh right here at Hawk Meadow Farm. The delights will feature the farm's seasonal bounty served family style with dishes including "shiitake pate" and "elderberry cocktails", "tamales with slow cooked beef with salsa roja or shiitake and goat cheese with poblano cream" and "tomato gazpacho with mint and cucumber salsa". While we put the finishing touches on the menu, get it on your calendars and reserve your spot at the dinner table. Cocktails will be served at 5:30 with dinner following at 6:30pm.
Chloe Greenhalgh began her career cooking in Ithaca at Maxies Supper Club and catering events at the Namgyal Monastery. She left Ithaca to study Baking and Pastry Arts at the Connecticut Culinary Institute while at the same time starting a Sandwich Shop called Chloe's For Lunch in Connecticut. She has been back in Ithaca for the past six years as the Pastry Chef for Cornell Catering, as well as cultivating her passion for preparing good quality meals and supporting local farmers.
